An auditor is an accountant responsible for verifying a person's or a company's financial records. The auditor has to conduct research and to check bookkeeping. There are two types of auditors: external auditors, who can either be self employed or can work in public accounting firms. Internal Auditor is the second type of auditor. The main responsibilities of an internal auditor are the same as the ones of the external auditor.
