Auditor Resume

An auditor is an accountant responsible for verifying a person's or a company's financial records. The auditor has to conduct research and to check bookkeeping. Another responsibility of an auditor is to analyze a company's records and to check if these records fit the company's present financial situation. There are two types of auditors: external auditors, who can either be self employed or can work in public accounting firms. External auditors can work in government agencies or private businesses in order to verify their financial statements. Major companies usually audit their books annually. The external auditor can give creditors and shareholders an outside opinion about the financial conditions of a company.

Internal Auditor is the second type of auditor. The main responsibilities of an internal auditor are the same as the ones of the external auditor. But there are some differences between these two types of auditors. The internal auditor works just for one company and receives his salary from that company. The main duty of an internal auditor is to evaluate and to examine the financial system of the company, to make sure that it is running efficiently. Another task is examining the financial records (payroll records, inventory and equipment records).

While creating your resume, beyond the personal information and introduction, add in your objective statement too. This statement can indicate where you see your career in the next few years or what are your plans and goals. Show the employer that you have a clear vision that matches the company and the auditor position that you are applying for. The next section of the resume has to contain your skills and qualifications. Start this section from your most recent qualifications, up to the last ones. You should also try to present details about your qualifications or courses which are applicable to an auditor position.

The next part of your Auditor Resume is the job history. Also, start with your current or most recent position. Offer details about your roles, responsibilities and duties so that the employer can see how you have handled your previous company's financial assets.
