The standard duties that every secretary has to accomplish are taking care of the work agenda and planning work schedule for the director; taking care of correspondence; word processing, printing, planning meetings and preparing necessary documents. He is also responsible for organizing visits and meetings for staff at the principal's office. He has to keep track of their outstanding tasks and deadlines; guiding other service workers in the secretariat; preparing correspondence and other documents, rules, regulations, statutes; doing operational work (making reservations, buying tickets, magazines, etc..); taking care of the office work environment.
Secretaries work in offices or similar spaces where the work environment is quite comfortable, but work tends to become increasingly large, depending on the requirements of the director.
