Jockey Agent Resume

Jockey agent is a sport agent in the field of horse racing. As any other sports agent, jockey agents represents, procures and negotiates contracts for the players in their care. This service is rewarded with a percentage from the players' earnings. Although it might seem a simple job to do that only implies some negotiation skills; the responsibility of a jockey agent is very big and decisive for the jockey's success. Jockey agents have to be knowledgeable in the field of horse racing and should be able to determine a horse's chances of high performances in the field. They need to have a keen eye for horses and all other relevant information about the horse like there breed, there bloodline. They have to select the horses with the best chances, and this means an evaluation of their behavior, temperament, physical shape and so on. They have to negotiate fees with horse owners and obtain the best deals for their jockeys. Once the jockey is associated with a specific horse, the jockey agent needs to procure and negotiate employment and endorsement with horse-racing agencies.

They decide upon all the racing conditions and details and collaborate with riders in order to determine schedule and availability. A jockey agent resume is best represented by previous experience and significant results in the field. A jockey agent with a good reputation has best chances in signing a contract with a rider, but less known agents have chances by underlining their ability to assess horse capacity and negotiate contracts.
