Central Office PBX Servicer Resume

A central office and PBX servicer analyzes, tests and repairs telegraph or telephone equipment and circuits at a central office location using hand tools and test meters. S/he also has to test and repair defects in communication equipment on customers' premises using meters, polarity probes, circuit diagrams and telephone test set. Sometimes s/he may install equipment as well.


The duties of central office and PBX servicers include:

  • Adjusting equipment to ensure circuit continuity using test instruments
  • Retesting repaired equipment to make sure that it functions
  • Connecting wires to equipment using soldering iron or hand tools
  • Remaking connections on wire distributing frame following specific diagram
  • Entering codes to correct programming on electronic system
