A geologist is the person, who studies the rocks, the minerals and the strata of the planet in order to discover how Earth was formed. A geologist can also take note of soil types from the forest, can walk through the caldera of a volcano, can prepare geologic reports and maps, can analyze rocks from various planets, or can study relics of the ships in the ocean.
